1. Tupac Shakur’s authorized biography has  been given the green light by Afeni Shakur (Preston, 2010). There has been a plethora of biographies out there all that tell the same tale with very little and often subtle differences. It remains to be seen if this release will seperate itself from the fold or attempt to cover new ground in a much trampled field already.

2. The Department of Homeland Security has made a huge sting involving over 80 rap related websites that were violating copyright and trademark laws. According to DHS, the busts involved such websites as OnSmash.com and Dajaz1.com and was based on a three month sting while evidence was collected.
